Righteousness
Faith
Life
1. Righteousness is the issue in man’s relationship with God; unbeliever or believer. (Job)
2. Righteousness is what Holy Spirit convicts of:
GJ 16:8

17 For in it the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed out from the realm of faith in Jesus Christ Sal.1 to faith; into the realm of faith in Holy Spirit, Sal. 2 or living Spirit Filled Life as it is written, "But The Righteous man status of every believer. by virtue of imputed righteousness Shall Live daily as a believer By Faith." that is by faith in one God sent, His Spirit!

4 "Behold, listen, concentrate Habakkuk, & you
as for the proud one, arrogant one,
His soul battle of faith is fought in the soul
is not right within him; not right in relationship with God,
Hebrew word here for right is close in understanding to righteousness
to be straight, to be upright, to be pleasing!
But the righteous will live by his faith.

But the righteous will live by his faith.
Heb. saddiq adj. meaning righteous, just, pure, clean, conforming to the righteousness of God
The righteous one one who is declared Righteous by initial faith in Christ (messiah)
Will live Qal. Imperf. Chayah to be alive, to live, to keep alive
By his faith

Behold, as for the arrogant one, his soul is not right within him. But the righteous will live by his faith
Note the contrast between the arrogant & the righteous
Why are the righteous contrasted with the arrogant?
Because to become righteous, the person must humble himself to faith.
Arrogance is the refusal to just trust!
To believe in Jesus Christ by faith alone…humble yourself, something the arrogant will not do!
2enly: the arrogant must understand: why, & how long & have some kind of control, (unreal as it is) so, they cannot just live by faith in midst of things going on;

This presents a very important distinction that few ever truly grasp.
That is the distinction between being physically alive, & spiritually alive
I say truly because when under discussion, many claim to know that difference but when it comes to actually living, making decisions in life, many do not live like they truly grasp this distinction.
While we are physically alive, day in & day out, does not mean that we are spiritually alive!
At any given moment each of you, are living in flesh or living in power & life of Holy Spirit.
GJ 6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Gal. 5:5 For we believers through or by means of the Spirit, Holy Spirit –
by faith, this prepositional phrase by faith points both backward –to what has just been said & to what follows,
for we by means of the Spirit –by faith (in HS) are by faith & in the Holy Spirit
waiting for the hope of righteousness.
This does not refer to eternity, but refers to life right here, rt. now…that is the righteous life

1:17 For in it gospel the righteousness of God is revealed out from faith moving to faith, or leading to a life of faith as it is written,
"But the righteous man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.“
Hab. 2:4 Behold, the arrogant one, his soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.
Gal. 5:5 For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for hope of righteousness.
